Box Office: Noor & Maatr 2nd Day Collection, Sonakshi Sinha starrer Remains Low on Saturday

2 Days Total Collection of Noor and Maatr

Sonakshi Sinha’s second heroine oriented movie after 2016’s Akira, Noor recorded dull opening on Friday and received mixed reviews from critics. Due to good star power and high scale promotions, this drama movie has been released with much buzz among fans as well as moviegoers but got failed to impress the audience thoroughly.

As per critics, the actress has given excellent performance and justified her character completely, but that is not enough to generate post-release buzz of Noor at box office. On the opening day, it reported only 10% of occupancy for the morning shows and slightly higher for evening & night shows in multiplexes.

With such dull occupancy, Sunhil Sippy’s directorial registered the opening business of only 1.54 crore from 1450 screens across the country. On the second day i.e. Saturday, being weekend the movie showed little rise in footfalls and minted the amount of 1.89 crore. With this, 2 days total collection of Noor has become 3.43 crores on domestic box office.

Like last couple of weeks, this week too doesn’t seem favorable for Hindi movies. The adjacently released Raveena Tandon’s comeback movie after a long time, Maatr has also received mixed reviews from critics and got failed to attract enough audience. Reportedly at some places it has witnessed 0% of occupancy.

On the opening day with only 5-10% of occupancy across the country, Ashtar Sayed’s directorial Maatr did the business of 0.42 crore from 350 screens. Then on Saturday, on similar note it managed to collect 0.46 crore and made it’s 2 days domestic total as 0.88 crore from limited number of screens.
