Year’s first awaited movie, OK Jaanu is the second collaboration of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor after musical hit Aashiqui 2. Due to its good initial buzz, the movie was expected perform decently on box office, but unfortunately it received slow response. The mixed reviews from viewers as well as critics, melted down all its hype among audience within one week.

Shaadi Ali’s directorial this recent Hindi offering, OK Jaanu witnessed lesser response than its earlier expectations. In the opening week, it received average occupancy across the country and did the business of total 13.80 crores. On the opening day, the movie minted the amount of 4.08 crores only despite Lohri holiday, while the previous movie of Aditya & Shraddha, Aashiqui 2 made the opening business of 6.25 crores.

On the second day, OK Jaanu received limited growth and managed to add the amount of 4.90 crores to its account. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday due to #INDvEng cricket match, the movie reported drop and raked the business of 4.82 crores. Now it is running in weekdays and as usual getting lesser audience in theaters than before.

On Monday, it faced the drop of 52% than Friday and collected the amount of 1.95 crore. With further declination, it scored 1.35 crore on Tuesday and 1.05 crore on the next day i.e. Wednesday. This has made the 6 days total collection of OK Jaanu as 18.15 crores on domestic box office. The movie doesn’t seem to touch the mark of 20 crores by this week.
