Box Office: Phillauri 6th Day Collection, Anushka-Diljit’s Film Crosses 21 Cr Total with Wednesday

After a decent opening, Anushka Sharma, Diljit Dosanjh, Suraj Sharma and Mehreen Kaur Pirzada starrer has faced an abrupt dip in weekdays but still has enough hold over the audience and heading steadily. Due to good star power, music and promotions, this Anshai Lal’s directorial was released with fair buzz and as expected witnessed almost favorable response of audience.

Everyone liked the performances given by the lead stars and movie’s soulful music. But some critics have not found it’s screenplay up to the mark and reviewed the movie with mixed comments. Despite mixed reviews, Phillauri managed to start the journey at box office on a decent note and heading steadily in weekdays.

In the opening weekend, Phillauri reported overall 25-35% of occupancy throughout and did the decent business of 15.25 crores, which was including 4.02 crores of Friday, 5.20 cores of Saturday and 6.03 crores of Sunday from around 1100 screens across the country. While the adjacently released Swara Bhaskar’s Anaarkali Of Aarah raked the business of 0.47 crore.

Now Anushka’s this second production venture is running in weekdays and getting lesser footfalls in theaters than earlier. On Monday, it faced around 50% of drop than last Friday and minted the amount of 2.02 crores. With slight more fall on Tuesday, the movie added the amount of 1.95 crore to it’s account.

On the next day i.e. Wednesday, Phillauri recorded more drop and garnered the business of 1.81 crore and made it’s 6 days domestic total as 21.03 crores. With such pace, the movie is likely to do the business of around 22.75 crores nett. in the opening week.
