Box Office: Pink 18th Day Collection, Emerges as Big B’s 3rd Highest Grossing Movie

18 Days Total Collection of Shoojit Sircar’s Pink

One of the most promising filmmakers of the industry, Shoojit Sircar’s recent venture Pink has performed excellently so far and still has enough hold over audience despite the highly awaited Indian biopic M.S.Dhoni The Untold Story. This social thriller has impressed everyone with its strong content and come out as year’s one of the most appreciated movies.

Pink has been released with decent buzz opposite to the fourth installment of very successful Indian horror franchise Raaz. It had registered decent opening on box office but with super positive reviews of critics as well as moviegoers, Amitabh Bachchan starrer became the first choice of audience.

In the opening week, Pink witnessed terrific response through out and did the business of 35.91 crores, which included 21.51 crores of weekend and 14.40 crores of weekdays. In the second week, the movie remained strong despite more fresh releases and minted the amount of 21.87 crores with 15.21 crores of weekend and 6.66 crores of weekdays.

Then in its third weekend despite M.S.Dhoni The Untold Story, Pink showed almost steady performance and reported the business of 4.05 crores with 1.08 crore of Friday, 1.35 crore of Saturday and 1.62 crore of Sunday. After 17 days, total domestic collection of the movie was recorded as 61.83 crores and emerged as the third highest grossing movie of Big B after Piku & Satyagraha.

Now once again, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s directorial has entered in weekdays and getting lesser occupancy than before. On its 3rd Monday, Pink faced almost 60% of drop than Friday and added the amount of 0.45 crore to its account. With this 18 days total collection of the movie has become 62.28 crores across India.
