The latest satirical comedy movie Bangistan is releasing today at box office, starring versatile actor Riteish Deshmukh & Pulkit Samrat in lead roles along with Jacqueline Fernandez in cameo. It is directed by Karan Anshuman and produced by Farhan Akhtar & Ritesh Sidhwani under the production banners Excel Entertainment & Junglee Pictures. Earlier its was scheduled to be released on 17 April but got postponed to 31 July. To avoid clash with Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam and obviously unavailability of appropriate number of screens, it was shifted to next week on 7 August i.e. today.
Premiere of the movie has already been held and as per critics Bangistan is a below average movie. It is having not much high hype among audience because everyone is now just waiting for the release of Akshay Kumar starrer Brothers, that is going to be released next week on 14 August. Still fans of Riteish Deshmukh are in full support of the movie as always happens. Bangistan is about the story of two blundering terrorists on a mission to change the world. It makes you remember few weeks ago released Arshad Warsi & Jackky Bhagnani starrer Welcome 2 Karachi. But it doesn’t mean, that the movie will not get audience.
As per the report and after considering all the aspects, Bangistan is expected to get average occupancy of less than 50% on its first day and its collection would be near about 4.5 – 5.5 crores*. According to the trade report of previous satirical comedy releases, the total collection of the movie is predicted to be around 30 – 40 crores* in lifetime from Indian screens. The final report will be revealed after seeing the reaction of audience in morning. But one thing is definite that Bangistan have only one week to perform and its journey at box office will not be easy in opposite to Baahubali (Hindi), Bajrangi Bhaijaan & Drishyam
