The very much awaited Bollywood action-drama movie ‘Brothers’ has been released out today. It is a remake of Hollywood movie Warrior (2011) and is directed by Karan Malhotra under the banners Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Lionsgate Films & Endemol India. Brothers is featuring the superstar Akshay Kumar & a popular young actor Sidharth Malhotra in lead roles along with Jacqueline Fernandez in cameo, Jackie Shroff & Shefali Shah in supporting characters. The movie has released on approx. 3600 screens in India with huge excitement among audience.
Akshay Kumar has added up huge number of fans to his list from the movie Holiday and continuously giving hits from the year 2013. Now with his special promotional strategies and fan following, his movies gets hit before the release. The same is looking with his latest movie ‘Brothers’, the movie is in buzz from the day when its official trailer was released out. Everyone having high expectations with this movie and also the advance booking reported wonderful pre-release response towards it. As per the report, ‘Brothers’ would get overall occupancy of 75% on its first day and expected to do the business of near about 12 – 14 crores* from Indian box office.
It is a story of two estranged brothers, their destiny takes them in a situation where both have to fight with each other. The movie of approx. 156 minutes revolves around the same scenario, having very good music and action sequences with lots of emotion. After the premieres, movie is getting mixed reviews from critics but positive response from audience. Still nothing can be predicted about its exact lifetime business but as per its hype and excitement of audience, it seems that it will gross more than 90 crores* as its domestic total.
