Box Office: Raees 14th Day Collection, SRK starrer Crosses 132 Cr Total till 2nd Tuesday

After the excellent performance in the opening week, superstar Shahrukh Khan’s crime action-thriller Raees is heading decently on box office across the country. The movie was released last Wednesday along with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil and received higher response from audience due to huge initial buzz.

As expected, Raees took lead over the opposite one from its very first day of release. Also it remained the first choice of audience throughout the opening week and become the fourth highest grossing movie of Shahrukh’s career so far after Chennai Express, Happy New Year & Dilwale.

In its 9-days extended opening week, Rahul Dholakia’s directorial witnessed overall excellent occupancy and registered the business of 118.36 crores, which was including 93.24 crores of 5-days weekend and 25.12 crores of weekdays. Now the movie is running in its second week but now lagging behind Kaabil.

In its second weekend, Red Chillies Entertainment & Excel Entertainment’s recent collaboration Raees collected the amount of total 11.55 crores, including 2.80 crores of Friday, 4 crores of Saturday and 4.75 crores of Sunday. While the adjacent release Kaabil scored 11.71 crores.

Now the movie is once again in weekdays and as usual getting lesser occupancy than before. On its 2nd Monday, Raees faced around 70% of drop than previous day and managed to add the amount of 1.47 crores. Then on Tuesday with almost similar response, it minted the amount of 1.28 crore and made its 14 days net domestic total as 132.66 crores.
