Superstar Shahrukh Khan’s latest highly awaited offering Raees is about to complete its two weeks journey at box office on an excellent note. This crime action-thriller was released last week on Wednesday along with Hrithik Roshan’s much awaited Kaabil. As expected it remained the first choice of audience throughout its opening week.

Audience found Raees perfect as a masala entertainer and showed thumbs up. From critics also, it has received positive reviews and gained good word of mouth. As a result the movie still has enough hold over the audience but now lagging behind the opposite one in the second week.

Due to enormous buzz, Raees had witnessed excellent occupancy throughout the 9-days extended opening week and did the business of 118.36 crores from 2700 screens in India, which was including 93.24 crores of weekend and 25.12 crores of weekdays. Now the movie is running in its second week and recording lesser response than Kaabil.

In second weekend, Rahul Dholakia’s directorial raked the business of 11.55 crores, with 2.80 crores of Friday, 4 crores of Saturday and 4.75 crores of Sunday, while Kaabil reported the business of 11.71 crores. Now the movie is once again in weekdays and getting lesser footfall in theaters than before.

On Monday, Raees faced around 70% of drop than previous day and managed to add the amount of 1.47 crore to its account. On the next day i.e. Tuesday, the movie scored 1.28 crore. Then on Wednesday, with some drop it minted the amount of 1.10 crore and made its 15 days domestic total as 133.76 crores.
