Box Office: Raees 5th Day Collection, Crosses 93 Cr Total in 5-Days Extended Weekend

5-Days Opening Weekend Total Collection of ‘Raees’

Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar & Gauri Khan’s production Raees has cashed its 5-days extended opening weekend thoroughly on box office across the country as well as international market. Being superstar Shahrukh Khan’s highly awaited movie, it has been released this Wednesday opposite to Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil with enormous hype among his fans and as expected remained the first choice of audience through out.

Audience found Raees entertaining and showed thumbs up to it. The movie has all the useful ingredients which are required for a masala entertainer and as a result, it has received positive reviews from most of critics as well as moviegoers. Lead stars Shahrukh & Nawazuddin have given brilliant performances as always and are being praised by all.

On the opening day, Rahul Dholakia’s directorial witnessed excellent occupancy of 80-85% on 2700 screens in India and registered the fourth highest opening of SRK’s career so far with 20.42 crores while adjacent release Kaabil reported 10.43 crores. On Thursday, due to Republic Day holiday the movie showed impressive growth and did the business of 26.30 crores.

On Friday, Raees faced around 50% of drop than previous day due to normal working day but still managed to add good amount of 13.11 crores to its account. Then on the next day i.e. Saturday, it again showed jump in its business graph and raked the amount of 15.61 crores.

On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, this crime action-thriller recorded limited growth due to #IndvEng T20 cricket match and minted the amount of 17.80 crores, which has made its 5-days extended opening weekend total collection as 93.24 crores on domestic box office. Not only from India but in overseas too, the movie has reported quit excellent business of more than 53 crores till Sunday.
