Box Office: Raees 8th Day Collection, Transcends Lifetime Total of SRK’s Don 2 Domestically

8 Days Total Collection of Shahrukh Khan’s Raees

After Don 2, superstar Shahrukh Khan’s recent offering Raees has now surpassed the lifetime total of his 2011’s Don 2 on domestic box office. Being highly awaited, it was released last Wednesday with enormous hype among fans along with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil. As expected the movie has witnessed great excitement of audience across the country as well as overseas.

Most of the viewers found Raees very entertaining and showed thumbs up to it. The movie has also received favorable reviews from critics as well as moviegoers. As a result it remained the first choice of audience throughout the 5-days extended opening weekend and cashed it thoroughly.

Due to huge initial buzz, Raees reported excellent occupancy in the opening weekend and registered the business of total 93.24 crores from 2700 screens in India, which had 20.42 crores of Wednesday, 26.30 crores of Thursday, 13.11 crores of Friday, 15.61 crores of Saturday and 17.80 crores of Sunday.

Now Rahul Dholakia’s directorial is running in weekdays and asusual witnessing lesser audience in theaters than before. On Monday, it faced around 65% of drop than previous day and did the business of 6.25 crores. Then on Tuesday, with further declination the movie added the amount of 5.52 crores to its account.

On the next day i.e. Wednesday, Raees reported some growth and minted the amount of 7.10 crores, which has made its 8 days domestic total as 112.11 crores. With this, it has become the 6th highest grossing movie of Shahrukh Khan so far by surpassing the lifetime total of Don 2 (106.71 crores).
