9 Days Total Collection of ‘Raees’ Domestically

Superstar Shahrukh Khan’s highly awaited Raees was released last Wednesday with great excitement of his fans and also it took excellent start on box office. As expected the movie has witnessed favorable response of audience across the country as well as overseas. But the clash with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil has ultimately caused much loss to its business, infact this happened with both the movies.

Although Raees has raked more than 100 crores on domestic box office and recorded quite good performance in international market. Also it has received positive reviews from most of the critics as well as moviegoers and is being appreciated for the brilliant performances given by Shahrukh Khan & Nawazuddin Siddiqui. But it could get much better if the screens & audience did not get divided.

With huge initial buzz, Rahul Dholakia’s directorial recorded terrific occupancy throughout the 5-days opening weekend and did the business of 93.24 crores on 2700 screens in India. The weekend total included 20.42 crores of Wednesday, 26.30 crores of Thursday, 13.11 crores of Friday, 15.61 crores of Saturday and 17.80 crores of Sunday.

In weekdays, asusual Raees got lesser occupancy in theaters than weekend and performed decently. On Monday, it faced almost 65% of drop than Sunday and did the business of 6.25 crores. With further declination, the movie minted the amount of 5.52 crores on Tuesday but showed some growth on Wednesday and raked 7.10 crores.

Then on the last of week i.e. Thursday, with little drop it added the amount of 6.25 crores and made its extended opening week domestic total as 118.36 crores.
