Box Office: Rangoon 2nd Day Collection, Witnesses No Jump on Saturday

Director Vishal Bhardwaj’s recent offering Rangoon has been released this Friday with good buzz among audience and as expected received favorable response from most of the viewers. Despite the holiday of Maha Shivaratri, the movie wasn’t perform as per earlier expectations. After an average opening, it has reported no growth on Saturday.

Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut starrer romantic period drama Rangoon has impressed most of the critics because of wonderful performances by the stars and flawless direction by Vishal Bhardwaj. Most of the audience have also liked the movie but at box office it is not getting much response.

On the opening day, despite the holiday Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, VB Pictures and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment’s this collaboration reported an average occupancy of 20-25% across the country and did the business of 5.05 crores from around 1800 screens.

Obviously the opening was not much impressive but  the positive reactions from critics as well as audience is a satisfaction for fans and makers. Despite decent word of mouth, Rangoon showed no growth on the next day i.e. Saturday and minted the amount of only 4.80 crores domestically.

With this, total 2 days collection of Rangoon has become 9.85 crores on domestic box office. By this weekend, the movie can rake the total business of more than 15 crores with more growth on Sunday. For a reputed opening week total, it has to remain steady in weekdays.
