4 Days Total Collection of Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon
The latest offering of director Vishal Bhardwaj, Rangoon has been released this Friday with much buzz among audience and received favorable response from most of the viewers as well as critics, but get failed to perform well on box office. Despite being solo release, the movie remained flat over the weekend on an average note.
Because of commendable performances from the lead stars- Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut, Rangoon has impressed their fans as well as many critics. Even though, it has not reported any growth in its business graph over the opening weekend and also faced massive drop on Monday.
On the opening day, this romantic period drama opened with only 20% of occupancy occupancy despite the holiday of Maha Shivaratri and did the business of 5.05 crores with slight growth from evening shows. On the next day i.e. Saturday, it remained flat and minted the amount of 4.80 crores.
On Sunday also, Rangoon didn’t take any jump and added the amount of only 4.65 crores. After the first weekend, total collection of the movie was recorded as 14.50 crores from Indian screens. Now it has entered in weekdays and asusual started getting lesser audience in theaters.
On its first Monday, Rangoon witnessed massive drop of 74% than Friday and raked the amount of 1.30 crore, which has made its 4 days domestic total as 15.80 crores. After such heavy decline, the movie doesn’t seem to touch the mark of 20 crores by this week domestically.
