11 Days Total Collection of Akshay Kumar’s Rustom
After the second highest opening week of the year, now Akshay Kumar’s recent offering Rustom has registered the third highest second weekend of the year so far after Salman Khan’s Sultan (34.7 crores) and his own Airlift (19.26 crores). Due to strong word of mouth, the movie still has good hold over the audience across India and heading dominantly despite new releases.
Everyone liked this Tinu Suresh Desai’s directorial thriller drama and showed big thumbs for it. Critics have also reviewed it with positive comments, which is attracting more audience towards Rustom. As a result it has now become the third highest grossing movie of the year so far by surpassing the lifetime total of Housefull 3 (109.14 crores).
In the opening week, Rustom witnessed excellent occupancy through out and thoroughly enjoyed two extra holidays due to Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan. It did the business of 90.90 crores in first 7 days on domestic box office, including 50.42 crores of weekend and 40.48 crores of weekdays.
In its second weekend too, the movie reported impressive performance and raked total 17.12 crores with 4.41 crores of Friday, 5.77 crores of Saturday and 6.94 crores of Sunday. After 10 days, total collection of Rustom was recorded as 108.02 crores from Indian screens and 32.34 crores from overseas market.
Once again now Rustom is running in weekdays and asusual getting lesser occupancy. On its second Monday, it recorded almost 50% of drop than Friday and added the amount of 2.21 crores to its account. With this total 11 days collection of the movie has become 110.23 crores.
