Box Office: Rustom 1st Day Collection, Takes Superior Start across India

First Day Collection of Akshay Kumar’s Rustom

Superstar Akshay Kumar’s much awaited movie Rustom has finally released on box office and as expected witnessing excellent response across the globe. Being enormously hyped, it is buzzing among fans as well as audience from a long time. Reportedly it has released on 2317 screens across the country and recorded overall 50% of occupancy on the opening day.

Due of its stimulating story and impactful performances, Rustom has received almost positive reviews from critics as well as moviegoers. But some of them are not satisfied with it because of the simple screenplay as per their opinion. Rest all have found it very thrilling and intriguing, marked it as one of the best movies of Akshay Kumar.

Undoubtedly the actor has given brilliant performance as a intense character. Leading actresses Ileana D’cruz and Esha Gupta, both have left good impact with their acting. Especially Ileana, who is looking extremely beautiful through out. This is the third movie of Akshay in last 7 months after Airlift & Housefull 3, with the latest one he is all set to hit hat-trick.

On the opening day, Rustom started the day with good occupancy of 40% across the country. Due to positive word of mouth, the movie witnessed fair growth from evening shows despite adjacent release Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro. At the end of Friday, it recorded the overall occupancy of 50% and minted the amount of 14.11 crores on domestic box office.

With such superior opening, it has emerged as the fourth highest opener of the year so far after Sultan (36.54 crores), Fan (19.20 crores) & Housefull 3 (15.21 crores). The movie is positively expected to take good jump from Saturday.
