Box Office: Rustom 2nd Day Collection, Witnesses Impressive Growth on Saturday

2 Days Total Collection of Akshay Kumar’s Rustom

Neeraj Pandey’s third venture with superstar Akshay Kumar, Rustom has released this week with enormous buzz among fans as well as audience. As expected the movie has witnessed commendable response on box office worldwide. It has been released with good screens count of 2317 and getting terrific occupancy reports across the country.

Everyone liked Rustom and showing huge thumbs up for it. The movie has received almost positive reviews from critics but some of them are not satisfied with it due to less thrilling story as per their opinion. Once again the star Akshay Kumar has proved his versatility and undoubtedly given brilliant performance. Ileana D’cruz and Esha Gupta have also left strong impact with their acting.

All these positive words generated positive word of mouth about Rustom and attracted more audience towards theaters. Despite adjacent release Mohenjo Daro, it registered the fourth highest opening of the year so far by surpassing the opening record of Akshay’s previous movie Airlift, that was 12.35 crores.

On the opening day, Rustom recorded overall 50-55% of occupancy across the country and minted the amount of 14.11 crores. Not only from India but from overseas market too, it did quite impressive on Day 1. In UAE Akshay has very high fan following and from there the movie reported total 4.19 crores of business including Thursday and Friday.

On the second day being Saturday and due to positive word of mouth, Ruston started the day with slightly better occupancy than Friday but witnessed impressive jump from evening and added the amount of 16.43 crores to its account with 16.44% of growth. With this, two days total domestic collection of the movie has become 30.54 crores.
