Box Office: Sachin A Billion Dreams 1st Day Collection, Tendulkar’s Biopic Takes Good Start

Opening Day Collection of Sachin A Billion Dreams across India

Proving all prediction wrong, despite being a documentary drama much anticipated biopic of the legend Sachin Tendulkar has recorded strong opening with 40% of occupancy across the country for morning shows. From evening, it showed decent jump in footfalls.

Earlier it was expected that attracting large audience toward theaters, won’t be easy for Sachin- A Billion Dreams. But the magic of cricket god Sachin Tendulkar registered a strong start, despite having much awaited adjacent Hollywood offering Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge in opposite.

The movie is getting overwhelmed response from fans as well as audience. From critics also, it is receiving positive reviews which has generated good word of mouth for it. Already existing Half Girlfriend, Hindi Medium and Baahubali 2, still has good hold over the audience but, that doesn’t seem to hamper the performance of  Sachin- A Billion Dreams.

On the opening day, James Erskine’s directorial witnessed the overall occupancy of 40-45% across India with decent growth from evening shows. As per reports, it collected the amount of 8.60 crores from 2400 screens (Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi & English) nationwide. With this, it has registered the sixth highest opening of the year in Bollywood so far.

At international markets, Sachin A Billion Dreams has released on 400 screens and getting good response there too. With such favorable response,  it seems to show considerable growth over the weekend.
