Box Office: Sardaar Ji 2 4th Day Collection; Diljit Dosanjh starrer Holds Well in Weekdays

Sardaar Ji 2 Emerged as Highest Opening Weekend Grossing Punjabi Movie of all time!

After the highest opening record, now Diljit Dosanjh starrer Sardaar Ji has also registered the highest opening weekend record of all time in Punjabi cinema. The sequel of 2015’s Punjabi blockbuster Sardaar Ji, has been released with huge excitement and expectations among audience. As expected it received overwhelmed response across the globe and fared an impressive amount on box office in this weekend.

Audience liked the movie and found it as worth watch family entertainer. Not only audience but critics have also given favorable reviews, which generated good word of mouth about it. As always Diljit has performed superb and is being praised by everyone for that. His fans are very much excited with the performance of Sardaar Ji 2 in theaters and creating huge buzz on social media.

On the opening day, with overall 45-50% of occupancy across the country, it did the business of 2.75 crores that included 2.06 crores of East Punjab. This is the highest opening amount collected by any Punjabi movie so far. On Saturday, being weekend it received decent growth in its occupancy and minted 3 crores nationwide; in which 2.12 crores were from East Punjab.

On the last day of weekend, being holiday and due to positive buzz Sardaar Ji 2 reported the higher response than last 2 days. It raked the business of 3.35 crores on its third day and dragged its opening weekend domestic total to 9.10 crores. East Punjab contributed 2.49 crores to its Sunday collection.

Mow the movie has entered in weekdays and asusual started witnessing lesser occupancy than weekend. On Monday, Sardaar Ji 2 faced drop of around 35% than Friday in its business graph but still stands strong and added the amount of 1.75 crore to its account (incl. 1.33 crore of East Punjab). With this, its 4 days domestic total has become 10.85 crores.
