Recent Hindi offering of superstar Ajay Devgn is smoothly heading toward the mark of 100 crore on domestic box office. Soon it will be the sixth movie of his career to enter in this club after Golmaal 3, Singham, Bol Bachchan, Singham Returns & Son of Sardaar. Being year’s one of the much anticipated movies, it has been released with enormous hype among fans and as expected took good start on box office.

With its spectacular camera work and super quality visuals, Shivaay has impressed everyone and has received very positive reviews from most of the critics as well as moviegoers. Audience liked the movie and showed huge thumbs up for it. The lead star Ajay Devgn has given impactful performance and is being appreciated by all viewers.

In the opening week, Shivaay did the business of 70.41 crores with excellent occupancy across the country. This was included 28.56 crores of weekend and 41.85 crores of weekdays. It thoroughly cashed the extra holidays on Monday & Tuesday, which kept it strong in weekdays too.

Now it is running in the second week and still has good hold over audience despite successfully performing Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in opposite. In its second weekend, Shivaay raked the business of 17.09 crores, including 4.61 crores of Friday, 5.40 crores of Saturday and 7.08 crores of Sunday.

Once again the movie is in weekdays and witnessing lesser footfall in theaters than earlier. On its 2nd Monday, Shivaay reported almost 45% of drop than last Friday and added the amount of 2.50 crores. Then on the next day i.e. Tuesday, with slight more drop it minted the amount of 1.90 crore and has taken its domestic total to 91.90 crores.

As per the official announcement of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, from 9th of November 2016 (00:01 am) ₹500 & ₹1000 notes will not be acceptable for transactions. Also banks & ATMs are closed for 2 days (9th & 10th Nov.) across the country, so this can affect the business of Shivaay on box office.
