20 Days Total Collection of Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay
This Diwali released action thriller Shivaay had showed excellent performance in the early weeks but now after the demonetization of ₹500 & ₹1000 currency notes, it has slowed down by much rate and coming back to the ground. Earlier it was expected to touch the mark of 100 crores with the end of its second week but this decision has affected the box office badly.
Being year’s one of the much anticipated movies, it has been released with enormous hype and received overwhelmed response from audience. In the opening week, Shivaay recorded the occupancy of 30-50% through out across the nation and did the excellent business of 70.41 crores including 28.56 crores of weekend and 41.85 crores of weekdays.
In the second too, it remained almost steady and registered the business of 22.99 crores with 17.09 crores of weekend and 5.90 crores of weekdays. From its third weekend, Shivaay started facing loss on box office and raked the business of 3.15 crores including 0.65 crore of Friday, 1.10 crore of Saturday and 1.40 crore of Sunday.
After 17 days of released, total collection of Ajay Devgns starrer was recorded as 96.55 crores on domestic box office. Now once again it is running in weekdays and asusual getting lesser audience in theaters than before. On third Monday, the movie received lesser response than previous day and secured the amount of 0.45 crore.
On the next day i.e. Tuesday, Shivaay faced more decrement in its occupancy and minted the amount of 0.41 crore. Then on Wednesday, the movie has done the business of 0.40 crore with more drop and made its 20 days domestic total as 97.81 crores.
