Sonakshi Sinha’s much awaited action-thriller movie of the year Akira is all set to hit screens on 2nd of September i.e. today. The actress was last seen in Tevar (2015) opposite to Arjun Kapoor and now has come back after a long gap with an actress oriented movie. First time she is playing such impactful role of a bold and brave girl.

One of the most admirable directors A.R.Murugadoss’ Akira is buzzing among fans as well as audience from a good time and has gained much hype with its official trailer & music. Being actress oriented movie, entire industry is endorsing Akira, which will definitely lead it to get decent opening across the country.

Advance booking of Akira was started from Wednesday completely and has reported an average response on ticket window. As per the report, the movie is releasing on fair number of screens across India and is expected to witnessed 25-30 % of occupancy on Friday.

With such occupancy and initial hype, Akira can take the decent opening of 4-4.5 crores* from Indian screens. Further performance will depend on the reactions of audience. Earlier actress oriented Hindi movies of same genre, Mardaani and NH10 were collected 3.46 crores and 3.35 crores respectively on Day 1.

In UAE-GCC, the movie has already released a day earlier and witnessing positive reviews from most of the critics as well as moviegoers. Let see, how Indian critics and audience will react after watching Akira.
