Box Office: Sultan 17th Day Collection, Crosses 280 Cr Total in India

17 Days Total Collection of Salman Khan’s Sultan

Superstar Salman Khan’s Sultan has completed its two weeks journey at box office on a phenomenal note. Being year’s one of the most awaited movies, it has been released with huge hype among audience and received overwhelmed response across the globe. Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial this sports drama has received very positive reviews from most of the critics, which generated strong word of mouth for it.

In the opening week, Sultan reported stupendous performance and did the business of total 229.16 crores across India. This included 180.36 crores of weekend and 48.80 crores of weekdays. In the second weekend, it witnessed impressive response and raked the business of 34.07 crores. Then in weekdays, it faced usual drops and added the amount of 14.73 crores more to its account. After two weeks, total collection of Sultan was recorded as 277.96 crores.

Not only from India but in overseas market too, the movie recorded amazing business and reported total 145.49 crores in 2 weeks, that included 117.15 crores of first week and 28.34 crores of second week. So far Sultan has shattered many records on domestic as well as overseas box office. Also it has registered the master record of fastest 500 crores grosser on worldwide box office.

Now it has entered in its third week and now it has to compete with Rajinikanth starrer Tamil movie Kabali, which has also released in Hindi language. On its third Friday, Sultan witnessed considerable drop in its occupancy than the previous day and added the amount of 2.14 crores to its account. At the end, 17 days domestic total of the movie has become 280.10 crores. It is positively expected to surpassed the lifetime business of Dhoom 3 (284.97 crores) by this weekend.
