Salman Khan’s Sultan 22 Days Total Collection
Bollywood’s biggest blockbuster of the year so far, Sultan is heading break free on box office. The movie still has enough hold over audience across the country. Being Salman Khan starrer, it has been released with humongous hype among fans as well as audience on wide number of screens. And as expected, received stupendous start on box office and still adding decent business figures to its account.
After surpassing the lifetime total of Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 (284.97 crores), Sultan has become the third highest grossing movie of Bollywood and the highest of production banner Yash Raj Films. Within 2 weeks of release, the movie had grossed more than 500 crores worldwide, which is the least time period so far.
In the opening week, Sultan reported phenomenal performance and did the business of total 229.16 crores across India, this included 180.36 crores of 5-days weekend and 48.80 crores of weekdays. In the second week, it recorded almost 79% of drop than first week but maintained a good pace and raked the business of 48.80 crores total, including 34.07 crores of weekend and 14.73 crores of weekdays.
In the third week it has Rajinikanth starrer much awaited Kabali in opposite. Despite this giant release, Salman Khan’s Sultan remained unaffected and reported the business of 11.09 crores in the third weekend and took its domestic total to 289.05 crores. In overseas market, the movie did the business of 151.92 crores till its 19 days.
Once again, Sultan is running in weekdays and as usual witnessing lesser occupancy than before. On Monday it faced the drop of almost 40% than last Friday and minted the amount of 1.30 crore. Then on Tuesday, it recorded slight more drop and raked 1.25 crore.
On Wednesday, again the movie reported little more drop than previous day and as per the report added the amount of 1.15 crore to its account as 22nd day collection. With this, 22 days total collection of Sultan has become 292.75 crores on domestic box office.
