Box Office: Sultan 26th Day Collection, Crosses 296 Cr Total till 4th Weekend

26 Days Total Collection of Salman Khan’s Sultan

Producer Aditya Chopra’s second biggie of the year Salman Khan starrer Sultan is running in its fourth week and still witnessing considerable occupancy across the country. YRF’s last venture was Shahrukh Khan’s Fan, which didn’t performed well on box office but the latest one has shattered many existing records of Bollywood. Being very much awaited movie of 2016, it has been released with great excitement of fans as well as audience and as expected reported terrific performance so far.

With the presence of superstar Salman Khan, it wasn’t difficult for Sultan to take gigantic start. Also it received very positive reviews from most of the critics as well as moviegoers, which smoothly dragged it to a massive business total. With the smashing run on box office, the movie is now at the third position among top highest grossing movies of all time in Bollywood after PK & Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Also it has grossed over 550 crores worldwide and inching towards the mark of 600 crores.

In the opening week, Sultan did the phenomenal business of 229.16 crores with 180.36 crore of 5-days weekend and 48.80 crores. In the second week, it remained unaffected with new release Great Grand Masti and with usual drop, minted the total amount of 48.80 crores including 34.07 crores of weekend and 14.73 crores of weekdays. Then in third week, due to superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali it witnessed little higher drop than usual and raked the business of total 15.84 crores with 11.09 crores of weekend and 4.75 crores of weekdays.

After 3 weeks, total collection of Sultan was recorded as 293.80 crores on domestic box office and 154.10 crores from overseas. Now the movie is running in its fourth week and has new Hindi offering Dishoom in opposite. On Friday it witnessed considerable drop than previous day and did the business of 0.57 crore. On Saturday, being weekend it showed decent rise in its business and minted the amount of 0.98 crore.

On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, being holiday Sultan started the day on a better note and recorded decent growth from evening shows. As per the report, it has added the amount 1.51 crore to its account on 26th day. With this, total collection of the movie has become 296.86 crores nationwide. Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial is now heading towards the mark of 300 crores with baby steps, let see how much more days it will take to hit the target.
