Box Office: Sultan 28th Day Collection, Inching Towards 300 Cr Domestic Total

28 Days Total Collection of Salman Khan’s Sultan

Ali Abbas Zafar’s recent directorial venture Sultan is unaffectedly heading towards the mark of 300 crores on domestic box office. Despite new releases, superstar Salman Khan starrer still has enough hold over audience and adding considerable business figures to its account with every single day. Being year’s one of the most awaited movies, it has been released with enormous buzz across the globe and as expected received phenomenal response from audience.

Also it received very positive reviews from most of the critics which generated strong word of mouth about it among audience. Immense excitement of fans as well as moviegoers attracted more audience towards theaters and made Sultan the biggest blockbuster of the year and third biggest of all time after PK & Bajrangi Bhaijaan. From overseas market too, it has reported very impressive business and inching towards the mark of 600 crores at worldwide box office.

In the opening week, Sultan did the excellent business of 229.16 crores across India with 180.36 crores of 5-days weekend and 48.80 crores of weekdays. In the second week, it witnessed usual drop and minted the amount of 48.80 crores with 34.07 crores of weekend and 14.73 crores of weekdays. In the third week, it faced more drop due to Rajinikanth’s Kabali but managed to rake the business of 15.84 crores including 11.09 crores of weekend and 4.75 crores of weekdays.

In the fourth week, Yash Raj Films’ second movie of the year Sultan has new Hindi offering Dishoom in opposite. But still it reported decent business of 3.06 crores in the fourth weekend with 0.57 crore of Friday, 0.98 crore of Saturday and 1.51 crore of Sunday. After 26 days, total domestic collection of the movie was recorded as 296.86 crores.

Now once again, Sultan is running in weekdays and getting lesser response than before. On its fourth Monday, it witnessed almost 40% drop than last Friday and did the business of 0.34 crore. Then on Tuesday, it recorded slightly higher response than the previous day and as per report, added the amount of 0.36 crore to its account. With this its 28 days total domestic collection has become 297.56 crores.
