33 Days Total Collection of Salman Khan’s Sultan

Salman Khan’s recent offering Sultan has showed phenomenal performance in its early weeks and now with time it has slowed down. But due to strong word of mouth, the movie still has some hold over audience and inching towards the mark of 300 crores with every single day. Soon it will be the third name in the list of movies raked more than 300 crores on domestic box office.

Being year’s one of the most awaited movies, Sultan has been released with great buzz and hype among audience. As expected it witnessed thunderous response across the globe. Also it received very positive reviews from most of the critics, which made it to achieve such humongous height.

In the opening week, Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial did the business of 229.16 crores with exceptional occupancy through out. Then in the second week, it had Great Grand Masti in opposite but still maintained good pace and raked the business of 48.80 crores.

In its third week, Sultan had superstar Rajinikanth’s much awaited Tamil movie Kabali in opposite and managed to collect decent business of 15.84 crores. In the fourth week, despite Dishoom the movie remained almost steady and did the business of 4.43 crores.

After 4 weeks, total collection of Sultan was recorded as 298.23 crores on domestic box office and 162.10 crores from overseas market. Now the movie is running in the fifth week and due to absence of any noticeable new release in this week, it has added a decent business total to its account.

On the 5th Friday, it witnessed almost 25% of drop than previous day and minted the amount of 0.24 crore. On the next day, being Saturday it showed decent rise in its business and collected 0.49 crore. Then on the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, it reported 50% of growth in occupancy and added the amount of 0.78 crore to its account. With this, total domestic collection of Sultan has become 299.74 crores.
