Box Office: Sultan 37th Day Collection, Earns 300.35 Cr Total in 5 Weeks across India

37 Days Total Collection of Salman Khan’s Sultan

Ali Abbas Zafar’s recent directorial sports drama Sultan enjoyed phenomenal response in its early weeks. With time now it has showed down but still heading break-free to increase its business total. Being superstar Salman Khan starrer, Sultan has been released with enormous hype among fans as well as audience and as expected received tremendous response on box office.

With positive reviews from critics as well as moviegoers, Sultan attracted more audience toward theaters, which led it to such appreciable height. It has emerged as the third movie of Indian cinema to enter in 300 crores club across India. Out of three, now Salman Khan has two- Bajrangi Bhaijaan & Sultan in the list after Aamir Khan’s PK.

In the opening week, it did the commendable business of 229.16 crores with 180.36 crores of 5-days weekend and 48.80 crores of weekdays. Then in the second week, despite new releases the movie successfully maintained a decent pace and raked 48.80 crores with 34.07 crores of second weekend and 14.73 crores of weekdays.

In the third week, Sultan had Rajinikanth’s much awaited Kabali in opposite, but successfully managed to secured decent total of 15.84 crores including 11.09 crores of weekend and 4.75 crores of weekdays. In the fourth week, despite new Hindi offering Dishoom, it minted the total amount of 4.43 crores including 3.06 crores of weekend and 1.37 crore of weekdays.

In the fifth weekend due to no big release, the movie almost steady run and did the business of 1.51 crore including 0.24 crore of Friday, 0.49 crores of Saturday and 0.78 crores of Sunday. In weekdays, it witnessed usual drop and minted the amount of 0.16 crore on Monday, 0.16 crore on Tuesday and 0.15 crore on Wednesday.

On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, Sultan recorded slight more drop and added the amount of 0.14 crore to its account. With this, five weeks total collection of the movie has become 300.35 crores on domestic box office. From this Friday, two much awaited Hindi movies- Rustom & Mohenjo Daro are being release, so it won’t be easy for Sultan to rake considerable business.
