38 Days Total Collection of Salman Khan’s Sultan
Sultan is the third venture of producer Aditya Chopra in the year after Shahrukh Khan’s Fan and it enjoyed phenomenal run across the globe in it early weeks. Then with time it slowed down but maintained a decent pace. Despite new releases, it kept moving and finally emerged as the third movie of Indian cinema to enter in 300 crores club nationwide.
Now it has entered in its sixth week and has two much awaited Hindi movies in opposite; one is Akshay Kumar’s Rustom & the second is Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro. So its box office journey seems to be end soon, as both the new offerings are getting good response from audience.
In the opening week, Sultan did the commendable business of 229.16 crores with exceptional occupancy through out across the country. In the second week, despite Great Grand Masti in opposite it raked the decent business of 48.80 crores. Then in the third week, it had superstar Rajinikanth’s much awaited Tamil movie Kabali but still managed to collect 15.84 crores to its account.
In the fourth week, Sultan reported the business of 4.43 crores due to new Hindi release Dishoom. Then in the fifth week, due to no big release, it remained unaffected and secured 2.12 crores from India. After five weeks, total collection of the movie was recorded as 300.35 crores.
Now this Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial is in the sixth weekend and due to new big releases, it is witnessing very less response. On Friday, it reported more than 40% of drop than previous day and minted the amount of only 0.08 crore*. With this, total 38 days collection of Sultan has become 300.43 crores* on domestic box office.
