Salman Khan’s Sultan 40 Days Total Collection
One of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema, Sultan has now slowed down on box office and soon its journey will get ended. Being superstar Salman Khan starrer, it has been released with enormous buzz among fans as well as audience. As expected it witnessed phenomenal response in its early weeks and shattered many existing records of Bollywood. With positive reviews of critics and overwhelmed response of audience, it has become the third Indian movie to enter in 300 crores club nationwide.
In its opening week with exceptional occupancy through out across the country, Sultan did the outstanding business of 229.16 crores. In the second week, despite new release Great Grand Masti it remained unaffected and raked the business of 48.80 crores. Then in the third week it had superstar Rajinikanth’s much awaited Tamil movie Kabali in opposite, but still maintained a decent pace and collected 15.84 crores.
In the fourth week with time and due to new Hindi offering Dishoom, it witnessed lesser occupancy than before and did an average business of 4.43 crores. In the fifth week due to no big release, it remained almost steady and added the amount of 2.12 crores. After five weeks, total domestic collection of Sultan was recorded as 300.35 crores. Now in the sixth weekend, due to new two much awaited movie Rustom & Mohenjo Daro, it reported very less response.
On Friday, it faced 40% of drop than previous day and minted the amount of 0.08 crore. On the next day, being Saturday it recorded slight rise and collected 0.11 crore. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, being holiday Sultan witnessed little higher response and estimated to add 0.16 crore* to its account. With this, total domestic collection of the movie till its 6th weekend will become 300.70 crores* on domestic box office.
