7 Days Total Collection of Salman Khan’s Sultan

After the phenomenal five days weekend, superstar Salman Khan starrer recent Hindi offering Sultan is heading on an excellent note in weekdays. Being year’s one of the most awaited movies, this sports drama has been released with enormous hype and buzz among audience across the globe. It has received very favorable reviews from critics as well as moviegoers, which have generated good of word of mouth about it on box office.

Salman Khan has once again proved his steller skills with Sultan. He has given one of his best performances so far in this Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial. The actor is being praised by everyone for this, female Anushka Sharma has also performed brilliantly. Fans of Salman are super excited with the response of audience towards Sultan, the movie has entered in the 200 crores club in just 7 days of release.

Yash Raj Films’ second biggie of the year after SRK’s Fan, Sultan has been released on July 6 with a screen count of 4350 across the country and reported the gigantic opening of 36.54 crores. With this, it has emerged as the biggest opener of the year and the third highest opener of all time in Bollywood so far. This is Salman’s second highest opening after PRDP, that was 40.35 crores.

On the next day i.e. Thursday, being holiday due to Eid festival the movie witnessed impressive growth in its business and minted the amount of 37.32 crores. Then on Friday, it recorded a drop of almost 20% and did the business of 31.67 crores nationwide. It is the third movie of the year to enter in 100 crores club and the 10th of Salman’s career.

On Saturday, being weekend Sultan again showed impressive jump in its business and raked the business of 36.62 crores. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, it reported the higher response than last 4 days and collected the amount of 38.21 crores. After a 5-days weekend, total domestic collection of the movie was recorded as 180.36 crores.

Not only in India but in overseas too, Sultan is getting overwhelmed response from audience. Till Sunday, it reported the total business of 91.93 crores from there, that includes 20.50 crores of Wednesday, 18.71 crores of Thursday, 17.66 crores of Friday, 17 crores of Saturday and 18.06 crores of Sunday.

Now the movie is running in weekdays and due to strong word of mouth, still has impressive hold over audience. On Monday with more than 50% of drop than Friday, it did the business of 15.54 crores, which is higher than the opening collection of many anticipated movies.

On Tuesday, Sultan started the day with slightly less occupancy than Monday and added the amount of 12.92 crores to its account as seventh day collection. With this, total 7 days collection of the movie will become 208.82 crores on domestic box office. Still 2 days are left in the end of its opening week, it is positively expected to rake more than 225 crores in the first week.
