3 Days Total Collection of The Ghazi Attack, Running Shaadi & Irada

Noticeable Hindi offerings – The Ghazi Attack, Running Shaadi & Irada have been released this Friday and only the first one among these has showed considerable performance in the opening weekend across the country as well as overseas. Although last week released Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 is still ruling the box office and reported higher business than the sum of the amounts collected by these three offerings.

Rana Daggubati, Taapsee Pannu, Kay Kay Menon and Atul Kulkarni starrer The Ghazi Attack is India’s first underwater movie, directed by Sankalp Reddy. It explains the lesser known fact about the mysterious sinking of Pakistan’s Submarine PNS Ghazi which was triggered in Indian waters to destroy INS Vikrant.

Due to such strong subject, Karan Johar’s this venture has been released with decent buzz among audience. As expected the movie has received positive reviews from critics but witnessed low occupancy in theaters due to Jolly LLB 2. With regular growth over the weekend, it minted the amount of total 6.70 crores, which includes 1.65 crore of Friday, 2.25 crores of Saturday and 2.80 crores of Sunday.

Along with Hindi, The Ghazi Attack has also released in Tamil & Telugu languages and reported the business of 15.75 crores (Fri 4.25cr, Sat 5.25cr, Sun 6.25cr) with all the versions. On the other hand, Amit Sadh & Taapsee Pannu starrer rom-com Running Shaadi has received dull response with mixed reviews and registered the business of total 60 lacs, including 15 lacs of Friday, 20 lacs of Saturday and 25 lacs of Sunday.

While Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi, Sharad Kelkar, Divya Dutta & Sagarika Ghatge starrer eco-thriller Irada has also remained dull over the weekend and recorded the business of 57 lacs with 12 lacs of Friday, 20 lacs of Saturday and 25 lacs of Sunday.
