Total Collection of Thodari & Aandavan Kattalai from Tamil Nadu

This week’s new Tamil offerings Dhanush & Keerthy Suresh starrer romantic-thriller Thodari and Vijay Sethupathi & Ritika Singh starrer comedy-drama Aandavan Kattalai both have received good response from audience across the Tamil state and reported decent business in the opening weekend.

Prabhu Solomon’s directorial Thodari has been released on Thursday with good buzz among fans of Dhanush as well as Tamil audience. Due to initial buzz, the movie registered decent opening business but received mixed reviews from critics, which affected its business from the next day.

In the 4-days extended weekend, Thodari raked almost decent business of 10.50 crores from Tamil Nadu screens, that includes 4.32 crores of Thursday, 2.63 crores of Friday, 2 crores of Saturday and 1.55 crore of Sunday. Now the movie has entered in weekdays and started getting lesser occupancy than weekend.

On Monday, Thodari recorded more drop than previous day and added the amount of 1.05 crore* to its account. With this 5 days total collection of the movie has become 11.55 crores* across Tamil Nadu.

On the other hand, a day after released M. Manikandan’s directorial Aandavan Kattalai did the business of 2.28 crores on the opening day and received very positive reviews from critics, which generated strong word of mouth about it among audience.

With almost steady performance, it reported the business of 7 crores in the opening weekend including 2.80 crores of Friday, 2 crore of Saturday and 2.20 crores of Sunday. On Monday being normal working day, the movie witnessed lesser occupancy and minted the amount of 1.50 crore*. With this 4 days total collection of Aandavan Kattalai has become 8.50 crores* from Tamil Nadu.
