Opening Weekend Total Collection of Erotic Thriller ‘Wajah Tum Ho’
This Friday released, Hindi offering Wajah Tum Ho has completed its opening weekend journey on a low note, despite good number of screens across the country. After Hate Story 2 & 3, this is latest erotic thriller from the production banner T-Series and has come out as the lowest performer so far. The movie has good script with suspense & thrill, also received positive reviews from most of the critics, but still audience doesn’t seem interested in it.
The major reasons behind such low response are, the weak promotional strategy and the needless bold sequences, which made it a choice for selected audience only. Also the previous releases; Befikre, Kahaani 2 & Dear Zindagi still have hold over audience. It seems, audience is saving time & money for Aamir Khan’s highly awaited Dangal, which is releasing next week.
On the opening day, Wajah Tum Ho recorded overall 20% of occupancy on 1995 screens across India and registered the business of only 2.86 crores. Then on Saturday instead of showing rise, the movie received lesser audience and did the business of 2.68 crores. Whereas Hate Story 2 & 3, took impressive start as compare to their earlier expectations.
On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, Vishal Pandya’s directorial reported more drop and managed to collect the amount of 2.25 crores, which made its opening weekend total collected as 7.79 crores on domestic box office. With such performance level, Wajah Tum Ho is not expected to maintain its pace in weekdays.
