‘Brahmotsavam’ Collected 28 Cr in the Opening Week
After showing decent performance in the opening week, Mahesh Babu’s latest offering ‘Brahmotsavam’ is now heading slowly on box office. This family drama movie, has been released with massive hype among fans as well as audience worldwide but unfortunately has not received positive reviews from critics.
Due to good initial buzz, it started excellently on box office but got failed to maintain the pace for more days. Because of cold audience response, it faced abrupt fall in its business on the second day and ended the week with decent business total.
Earlier the movie was getting compared with Mahesh Babu’s last release Srimanthudu, which was a blockbuster. As compared to the expectations, it has reported far less on box office but has emerged as second biggest opener of his career so far after Srimanthudu.
In the opening week, Brahmotsavam minted the amount of total 28.05 crores* across 900 screens of Telugu states, including 18.65 crores of weekend and 9.35 crores of weekdays. The weekend total includes 12.60 crores of Friday, 3.15 crores of Saturday and 2.90 crores of Sunday.
In weekdays, it showed almost steady performance with slight drops and raked the business of 2.70 crores on Monday, 2.45 crores on Tuesday, 2.20 crores on Wednesday and 2.05 crores on Thursday. Now the movie has entered in the second week and facing competition due to new releases.
On its 2nd Friday, it faced considerable drop than previous day and added the amount of 1.20 crore* to its account. At the end if its 8th day, total collection Brahmotsavam is recorded as 29.25 crores* on Andhra Pradesh & Telangana box office.
