The recent offering of Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu, ‘Brahmotsavam’ has not showed any rise in its business after the day of its release. The movie has been released with huge hype among fans and of course very high expectations. But unfortunately has not received favorable response from critics as well as audience.

Despite much hype and excellent start on box office, it has raked only decent business total in its opening week. The movie had taken a superb start on its very first day but got failed to maintain that pace for more long and faced abrupt fall in its business on the second day.

In its opening week, Brahmotsavam did the business of total 28.05 crores* across Telugu states, including 18.65 crores of weekend and 9.35 crores of weekdays. The weekend total includes 12.60 crores of Friday, 3.15 crores of Saturday and 2.90 crores of Sunday.

In weekdays, it reported almost steady business and added decent business figure to its week total. It minted 2.70 crores on Monday, 2.45 crores on Tuesday, 2.20 crores on Wednesday and 2.05 crores on Thursday. Now the movie has entered in its second weekend.

On its 2nd Friday, it faced a considerable drop in its business as compare to the previous day and did the business of 1.20 crore as its 8th day collection. On its 2nd Saturday, it faced little more drop and added the amount of 1.10 crore* to its account.

At the end of its 9th day, total collection of Brahmotsavam is recorded as 30.35 crores* on Andhra Pradesh & Telangana box office. It is not expected to show any growth on its 2nd Sunday too.
