‘Brothers’ 12th Day Collection: Surpasses Lifetime Domestic Total of ‘Piku’

Almost 2 weeks ago released emotional drama movie ‘Brothers’ was performed very well in its first week and registered the second highest opening week collection of year 2015 so far. Movie received mixed reviews from critics but audience find its story very touchy and strong, the support of fans and audience made it to gross excellent figures at box office.

Earlier the movie was expected to enter in 100 crore club till the end of running period, but now its pace has been slowed down with heavy rate. The positive environment created by viewers for the movie in first week, is not working now. Brothers experienced a abrupt decrease in its business from its second week and now expected to be shrinked in between 80-90 crores as domestic total.

Anyhow, movie managing to climb upwards in the list of 2015’s highest grosser movies. At the end of its 12th day, it has surpassed the lifetime total of movie Piku that was recorded as 79.92 crores. Now Akshay Kumar starrer Brothers has become the 7th highest grossing movie of year 2015 so far and now its next target is Akshay’s last release Gabbar Is Back.

In the first week, Brothers was done the total business of 72.60 crores that was included 52.08 crores of weekend and 20.52 crores of weekdays. In its second week, the movie was minted the total of 6.10 crores as its second weekend total that was included 1.40 crore of Friday, 2 crores of Saturday and 2.70 crores of Sunday. Now it has entered in weekdays again, and as usual started facing drops in its business. On its 11th day, Brothers was collected 1.20 crore with more than 50% of drop than previous day. On the 12th day, it recorded slightly less occupancy and minted 0.90 crore.
