Citylights Seventh Day Box Office Response

Released on 30th May 2014 all across the world, Citylights is one of the current films that hit the Bollywood screens. Today total one week has passed for this flick and in total 7 days of release it has been the single movie which survived some collections and audience response other than the co releases Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi, Mundeyan Ton Bachke Rahin. Rest of the releases have been unable to attract the audience bind them to the theatres how so ever Citylights is also not the one with fabulous collections or audience rush but still it has outperformed above much of the release. It has been directed by Hansal Mehta and produced by Mukesh Bhatt while the music of the movie has been given by Jeet Ganguly who has been appreciated for his nice music and soothing tracks. Though Citylights got nice reviews from critics and much of the audience but 1 week total does not show much excellence.

The response of the audience on opening day usually show whether the movie is good or not to enjoy but in case of last Friday released movie, they haven’t claimed any remarkable figure in even 7 days. Today being the 7th day of release for Citylights, the film has managed to collect very average income of around 40 Lacs. The main lead of Citylights he star actor of the movie Rajkummar Rao is on top now a days. The actor recently produce a hit movie Queen on the screen while he has also done hits movie in past like Ragini MMS. Rajnikanth starrer biggie Kochadaiiyaan and Heropanti starring Tiger Shroff has done good business on the screen in the 1st week while movie is still running on the screen successfully. So this new week might be the end of the business for Citylights as it will now face deeper competition from already release above said films plus the new films releasing tomorrow.
