After a good opening week, De De Pyaar De has maintained a solid pace at the box office and passed its second weekend at a strong note. Despite having several new Hindi offerings in parallel, Akiv Ali’s directorial has remained the first choice of viewers and successfully dominated the already existing Student Of The Year 2 within 10 days of release.
With a positive word of mouth, De De Pyaar De had managed to stay strong & steady throughout despite a decent start and did the business of 61.05 crores in the first week that included 38.54 crores in the weekend & 22.51 crores on weekdays from 3100 screens across India.
The Hindi romantic comedy is now running in the second week and has India’s Most Wanted, PM Narendra Modi & Disney’s Aladdin in the opposite. Even though, it started the second weekend at a steady note and minted the amount of 3.58 crores on 2nd Friday after a drop of 20.09% vis-a-vis Thursday.
Then on 2nd Saturday, the joint production of T-Series Film & Luv Films showed a healthy jump in footfalls and raked the business of 4.78 crores. On the next day i.e. 2nd Sunday, with further growth, DDPD bagged the amount of 5.68 crores and raised its 10 days total collection to 75.09 crores nett at the domestic box office.
Being the second film of superstar Ajay Devgn in this year co-stars Tabu & Rakul Preet Singh, De De Pyaar De was released last Friday amid high excitement of fans and expectedly got succeed to entertain critics as well as the audience. Since its release, the film is running well at the box office and now has become the 9th highest grosser of the year so far in Hindi Cinema.
