As expected, superstar Ajay Devgn starrer De De Pyaar De co-stars Tabu & Rakul Preet Singh has hit the right chord and running successfully at the box office. After a good opening week, it has passed its second weekend also at a solid note and become the 9th highest grossing Hindi film of the year so far by dominating Student Of The Year 2.
Akiv Ali’s directorial Hindi romantic comedy had started its journey at a decent note and managed to attain a solid pace afterwards. In the first week, it did the business of 61.05 crores that included 38.54 crores in the weekend & 22.51 crores on weekdays from 3100 screens across India.
In the second weekend, despite several new releases, De De Pyaar De remained strong at the box office and raked the business of 14.04 crores with 3.58 crores on Friday, 4.78 crores on Saturday & 5.68 crores on Sunday. Now the film has entered on weekdays and still holding well across the country.
On 2nd Monday, the joint production of Bhushan Kumar led T-Series Films & Luv Ranjan’s Luv Films has witnessed a drop of 23.74% vis-a-vis 2nd Friday and minted the amount of 2.73 crores. After 11 days, the total collection of DDPD has become 77.82 crores nett at the domestic box office.
As per the current trend, De De Pyaar De is expected to rake around 84 crores nett by the end of this week. Till the release of Salman Khan’s highly-awaited Bharat, Ajay Devgn starrer has a chance to add maximum numbers to its account.
