Since its release, Hindi romantic comedy De De Pyaar De is running well at the box office despite having new films in the opposite. After the good third weekend, Akiv Ali’s directorial is getting enough response from the audience on weekdays and has surpassed the lifetime total of Luka Chuppi (94.75 crores) & Manikarnika (95.17 crores).
After the two successful weeks, superstar Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh starrer remained solid enough and did the business of 8.59 crores that included 1.96 crores on Friday, 2.82 crores on Saturday and 3.81 crores on Sunday. Now the film is running on weekdays and still holding well across north India.
On 3rd Monday, De De Pyaar De recorded a drop of 27.55% vis-a-vis 3rd Friday and minted the amount of 1.42 crore. On the next day i.e. 3rd Tuesday, after a further dip in footfalls, it has managed to collect the amount of 1.36 crore and raised 19 days total collection to 95.86 crores nett at the domestic box office.
With this, DDPD has emerged as the 5th highest grossing Hindi film of the year so far. The first-ever collaboration between T-Series & Luv Films has got succeed to entertain many in theatres and gathered a positive word of mouth. As a result, it raked the business of 84.49 crores in the last 2 weeks with 61.05 crores in the first & 23.44 crores in the second one.
From its 3rd Wednesday, De De Pyaar De will have superstar Salman Khan starrer highly-awaited period dram Bharat in parallel. So now it won’t be easy for Ajay Devgn starrer to touch the 100-crore mark in the lifetime.
