Dhoom 3 Crossed 500 Cr Mark Worldwide
Bollywood biggest blockbuster movie Dhoom 3 has set another sensational milestone in its name. The Aamir Khan Starrer sequel Dhoom 3 recently crossed 500 Crores mark worldwide with collections, setting a new record in the history of Bollywood and Indian film industries. This is the first Indian film to make such an impact not only in its domestic territory but also worldwide. Yash Raj Films issued a statement with regards to the same -“Dhoom 3 continues to create history at both the Indian and overseas box office. It is now officially the first Indian film to cross Rs 500 Crores worldwide” they stated.
This is a spectacular and immaculate achievement, considering the magic of Aamir Khan and other star cast completely turning the tables for the film. The film grossed 351.29 Crores in India alone, and 150.06 Crores in the overseas market. The movie is planned to be screened to countries like Germany, Romania, Peru, Japan, Russia and Turkey. Dhoom 3″ has emerged as a big winner at the box office and Aamir has once again proved that he is the box office king. Aamir’s “Ghajini” created the Rs.100 Crores club and “3 Idiots” started the Rs.200 Crores club. “Dhoom 3” is expected to start the Rs 300 Crores; clubs. The movie was helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Aditya Chopra.
‘Dhoom 3‘, saw Abhishek and Uday Chopra reprising their roles as Jai Dixit and Ali Akbar, respectively, while actors Aamir and Katrina were seen as the antagonist duo.

[Note these are nett amounts] The film has reportedly grossed over Rs.500 Crores at the worldwide box office. “Dhoom 3” India gross is Rs.351.27 Crores after the third weekend, whereas the film earned $24.01 million (Rs.149.47 Crores) at overseas markets. [Note: the overseas market figures have been calculated till third week Friday (3 January)]. The Aamir starrer has created history by emerging as the first Hindi film to have crossed the Rs.500-crore mark worldwide.
