Shahrukh Khan starrer ‘Dilwale’ showed Decent Rise in 2nd Weekend
Shahrukh Khan & Kajol has made their comeback on silver screen after a long time in recently released Rohit Shetty’s directorial ‘Dilwale’. The movie was released last week on 18th of December with huge excitement of audience and as expected received overwhelmed response across the country as well as overseas. Most of the critics have reviewed the movie with positive comments and showed thumbs up to it. Being a superstar Shahrukh Khan starrer and due to positive response, movie did phenomenal business in the first week, especially the weekend.
In the opening week, Dilwale was recorded excellent occupancy and minted the total collection of 102.65 crores that comprises 65.09 cores of weekend and 37.56 crores of weekdays. With the end of the week, it became 5th movie of the year to cross 100 crore in Bollywood. As per the reports, the movie did tremendous business of more than 100 crores from overseas screens only in the first week.
Now Dilwale has entered in the second week and recorded decent growth in its business but grossed lesser amount than the adjacent one Bajirao Mastani in its second weekend. On Monday, it was raked the business of 8.11 crores as its 8th day collection. Then on Saturday, it witnessed lesser response and minted 6 crores as its 9th day collection. Sunday has resulted in highest business for Dilwale among last three days. On its 10th day, the SRK-Kajol starrer received well response and made collection of 7.12 crores. Till the end of the day, total collection of the movie is calculated as 123.88 crores.
