Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale witnesses little growth in Third Weekend
Multistarrer action romantic movie Dilwale is witnessing little growth in its third weekend at domestic box office. Rohit Shetty’s directorial this mass entertainer was released on 18th of December opposite to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani. Being superstar Shahrukh Khan starrer, Dilwale was expected to be a sure shot winner of this battle but it hasn’t happened.
The movie was showed phenomenal performance in the opening weekend but from weekdays it was started loosing its pace with high rate. Whereas Bajirao Mastani which started on a decent note. was successfully maintained its pace and raked higher business than it with steady business. Entire Indian film industry is surprised with this twist. Due to its tremendous overseas performance, Dilwale is still leading on worldwide box office and but the seat is not secured yet because Bajirao Mastani is still heading smoothly.
In the opening week Shahrukh, Kajol, Varun Dhawan & Kriti Sanon starrer Dilwale was reported excellent business as stated above and raked the total amount of 102.65 crores that comprises 65.09 crores of weekend and 37.56 crores of weekdays. In the second week, it witnessed heavy drops and minted the total of only 32.56 crores that includes 21.23 crores of weekend and 11.33 crores of weekdays. Till the end of two weeks, total domestic collection of Dilwale was calculated as 135.21 crores.
Now it has entered in its third week and witnessing little rise in its business due to weekend. On Friday, the movie was showed some growth and raked 3.41 crores as its 15th day collection. On the next day i.e. Saturday, it recorded lesser response and minted 1.90 crore. Till the end of its 16th day, total collection of Dilwale is recorded as 138.78 crores.
