‘Dilwale’ grossing well at Overseas Box Office
At domestic box office, Dilwale is lagging behind the opposite one Bajirao Mastani but on overseas screens it is doing very well. As per the reports, it has done the business of total 149.80 crores till the third weekend from outside India. Across the country, it was recorded overwhelmed response till first week but afterward started loosing hold over audience and getting low occupancy in theaters. Earlier the movie was predicted as the winner of the battle but due to strong word of mouth, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani is giving neck to neck competition to this Shahrukh Khan starrer biggie Dilwale.
Rohit Shetty’s directorial action romantic movie Dilwale was released on huge excitement of audience and also received positive reviews from critics. Most of the viewers showed it thumbs up and gave it an excellent start on box office. The SRK’s stardom showed its magic till first week only, later the movie lost its pace and major portion of audience was get diverted to Bajirao Mastani. Now Dilwale is adding small business figures to its account and heading slowly towards the mark of 150 crore.
In its two weeks journey on domestic box office, Dilwale was minted the business of total 135.21 crores that includes 102.65 crores of first week and 32.56 crores of second week. Now it is running in the third week and raked total 7.71 crores in the weekend that includes 3.41 crores of Friday, 1.90 crores of Saturday and 2.40 crores of Sunday. Till the end of its 17th day, total collection of the movie was recorded as 142.92 crores.
Once again, Dilwale has entered in weekdays and experiencing low audience response in theaters. On Monday it raked the amount of 1.13 crore with 50% of drop than weekend. On the next day i.e. Tuesday, it witnessed slight less response and minted the amount of 1.02 crore as its 19th day collection; made its domestic total to 145.02 crores.
