‘Dilwale’ lags behind ‘Bajirao Mastani’ in Week 2
A very well known director of Bollywood Rohit Shetty has recently presented an action romantic movie Dilwale with stars Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. The movie was released on 18th of December with huge excitement of audience across the country as well as overseas. Bollywood critics have reviewed it positive comments and showed thumbs up. It was received overwhelmed response from audience through out in first week and grossed excellent business figures worldwide.
In the opening week, Dilwale was raked higher business than the adjacent one Bajirao Mastani and gave good lead to it. It was did the business of total 102.65 crores on Indian screens that includes 65.09 crores of weekend and 37.56 crores of weekdays. The day-wise collections are as follows- Fri 21cr, Sat 20.09cr, Sun 24cr, Mon 10.09cr, Tue 9.42cr, Wed 8.79 cr, Thu 9.26cr. With the end of the week, Dilwale was became the 5th highest grosser of the year by dominating the record of ABCD 2.
Now the movie has entered in its second week and heading towards setting more records. From the second week, Dilwale has started facing less audience in theaters than Bajirao Mastani. On 2nd Friday, it was faced slight drop and minted the amount of 8.11 crores as its 8th day collection, whereas Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus raked 12.25 crores. On the next day being weekend, the movie recorded almost similar response and collected 7.82 crores*. Till the end of its 9th day, total collection of Dilwale is recorded as 118.58 crores* on Indian screens.
