After having an average opening on box office, the latest romantic comedy Dolly Ki Doli could not make any impressive figures on its first weekend too. Sonam Kapoor in a con character for first time on screen could not drive the audience towards the theaters. Film had quite a poor first weekend on box office if considered as per the collections and performance on its first three days business report. Film was not expected to start well at box office as far as buzz was concerned but film met with even more modest figure on Friday and there was only modest growth on Saturday and Sunday.

With the release of Baby same day, this movie failed to show any growth in the weekend. Being a multiplex oriented film, it could have ensured business over the weekend although the film earned average critic ratings. Moreover, unsuccessful word of mouth publicity affected its performance. While Baby continued to shine at box office throughout the weekend, Dolly Ki Doli had little chance to survive this competition.

Film only managed to do a small on its opening day i.e. Friday but as expected with not great or good word of mouth, it jumped by only 15% on Saturday. Dolly Ki Doli collected again a low figure of collection on Saturday and the final hopeful day Sunday saw even more modest jump of 15%. First weekend box office report show that allover collection of flick around 10.75 Crores with Sunday income of 4.76 Crores.

It is clear from this fact that the flick could not bring the expected earnings to the film makers and any special popularity or favor to the star cast. Film will drop on weekdays and now even 30-40 Crores nett lifetime numbers looks difficult which should had been the week one number. With decent budgets, this one looks to tank at box office, a rarity in recent times for Arbaaz Khan with fame of Dabangg series.
