‘Drishyam’ 13th Day Collection: Become the 9th Highest Grosser Bollywood Movies of 2015

Drishyam has become the 9th highest grosser Bollywood movie of year 2015 so far.

Superstar Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam is leading at box office among all the running movies. In its first week due to Bajrangi Bhaijaan it wasn’t able to perform properly but from its second week it is showing full power. Such great response of audience towards the movie shows, that good movies always gets good response. We have already experienced the same with Piku, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Shamitabh & etc. Along with very interesting & gripping story, Drishyam is having the great actor Ajay Devgn. He played his role superbly and also receiving appreciation for it. The female lead Tabu has also played her character of stern Inspector General of Police very well.

Drishyam is a remake of Malayalam movie with the same title that was released in year 2013, but still its story looks so fresh and interesting. Director Nishikant Kamat has done incredible job in its direction. Before release, there was not much hype of the movie at box office, may be the waves of Bajrangi Bhaijaan were the reason behind this. Only fans of Ajay were looking excited and creating buzz on social media. After releasing, everyone found it good and their positive reviews created super positive environment for the movie which has taken it in power.

Drishyam has almost completed its second week, only one day is left. Till the end of its first week, its total collection was 46.28 crores. In its second weekend, it did well and minted 11.84 crores that was highest among all running movies. From the next day, it was started facing drops in its business. On Monday it made around 1.60 crores as its 11th day collection and 1.65 crores on Tuesday as its 12th day collection. On Wednesday too, the movie has started with slightly low occupancy and minted 1.50 crores. Till the end of the day, total collection of Drishyam is recorded near about 62.87 crores.
