Nishikant Kamat’s directorial thriller movie Drishyam has already completed its journey of 3 weeks at box office with 71.72 crores. It is a remake of Malayalam movie with same title and its story is almost similar. That is the reason some critics didn’t found it up to the mark and reviewed it with low stars. But audience liked the movie and supported it to get good amount at box office. It features Ajay Devgn, Tabu & Shriya Saran in lead roles and all performed their characters very well.
In its first week Drishyam faced loss due to already running movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan but still managed to collect 46.28 crores as week total. In its second week, movie took the command and acquired top position by collecting highest total of 17.89 crores among all running movies. In its third week due to release of Akshay Kumar starrer Brothers, its performance was slowed down and collected 7.55 crores as week total.
Now the movie has entered in its 4th week and started the week with 0.58 crore* as its 22nd day collection. On the next day being Saturday it showed little increment in its business and minted 0.72 crore* as it 23rd day collection. On the last day of its 4th weekend it showed little bit more growth and collected 0.80 crore* as its 24th day collection. Till the end of its 4th weekend, the total collection of Drishyam has become around 73.82 crores from Indian screens only.
