‘Drishyam’ 2nd Weekend Collection: 9th / 10th Day Business Report

Drishyam, the last week released Hindi thriller movie gets advantage of failure of new release Bangistan at box office. It has minted the highest collection than all other running movies in this weekend. This Ajay Devgn starrer was released on 31 July among average excitement of audience. There was not very high expectations with Drishyam as it is the remake of Malayalam movie and was already made in various languages. But after release, it started gaining hype and receiving appreciation for its very interesting and gripping story.

Director Nishikant Kamat has made it very carefully, keeping all the aspects in mind. That is the reason the movie is getting full attention of audience. Along with Ajay, Tabu & Shriya Saran are in lead roles. Everyone praising the cast for their superb performance in the movie. Because of positive response, more audience getting encouraged and going to watch it in theaters. This week released, satirical comedy Bangistan has failed in impressing audience and the complete benefit of it is going to Drishyam as it is only strong option (recent) available at box office.

In its first week, Drishyam had done the total business of 46.28 crores. It has started its second week by collecting 2.75 crores as its 8th day collection, which is higher than all other movies running at box office. On Saturday as expected the movie was showed growth and minted around 4.05 crores as its 9th day collection. On the main weekend day its business raised to 5.04 crores, made total of 11.84 crores in its 2nd weekend and 58.12 crores at domestic box office. Now again weekdays have started and considerable drops are expected in its business graph.
