Drishyam this Friday released Hindi thriller movie has completed its first weekend at box office. Getting super positive response from audience as well as critics. Everyone appreciating Ajay for his superb performance in the movie and also Tabu who has played her character of a strict cop very well. Drishyam is a remake of Malayalam movie with same title that was released in year 2013. As the movie has already made in various languages, so there was no much high expectations with it as we generally sees with Ajay Devgan’s movies.
On its first day, Drishyam recorded overall decent performance and collected 8.50 crores including 50 lacs of paid premieres that were held on Thursday night. On 2365 Indian screens the figure is good but as compare to Ajay’s previous hits we are taking it as decent. Morning shows reported average occupancy on Friday but experienced increment till evening shows. Audience who watched the movie was liked it very much and created a very positive environment, which resulted in growth next day.
On Saturday being a weekend and due to positive word of mouth for the movie, it was made earning of 9.40 crores as its second day collection. On the main day of weekend i.e. Sunday, Drishyam has raked the highest amount of its first 3 days; collected around 12.13 crores. At the end of first weekend, the total collection of it has become 30.03 crores. Now weekdays have started, so the movie will face considerable drop in its business but also get advantage of positive reviews it is getting from audience.
